App review: tuding

This time I want to write about another app which I really enjoy to use. Tuding!

It’s called a C2C (Copy to China) application in this case they done it with Instagram - but however I do not see it as a real copy - its much more as this. It’s an own app. It is an innovation. Tuding can much more as instagram. And it deserve a try if you love to share your own photography and if you be interested in asian culture. If you want to know about the rights of your photos, than read in front the “Terms of Service” (url here, use google translate to if you do not understand chinese)before joining this. Don’t worry, the app needs no knowledge in chinese language. 

The pictures are very self-explained but however I will write a litte. In the first view you can see: no chinese typing in the interface! You just have to know chinese - if you want to enter this community via website or if you ever need the help of the support! 

More or less it is not to much different from Instagram … but I wrote before there a some. This ones are: 

+ If you go on your profile page, you can see all the users who take a look at your profile! You can not change this option (not for you or others) but don’t worry, only the owner of the profile can see this. 

+ Under message you will be informed about

1. Notice > Who liked or commented under your photos or where you got mentioned under other photographies.

2. DM > direct messages from other tuding-users :)

3. Following > You can see what your friends liked or who followed who. 

+ If there is something new - you will see it in the interface menu. 

+ Under square you can see for example: Some category of photographies like: newly posted, nearby, photos to special categories or a featuring filter (changing time to time). and you can search for users or tags as well. 

+ If you going to upload a photography you have tons of filter options. You can set a frame for each filter as well. And you can beside some features (e.g. spin, blur/tilt-shift effect) modify each filter in saturation/brightness/contrast. 

… when you applied this, you come to the next screen. Here you can create your own tags. From this list you can choose up to three tags for your picture. Thats not many but the list, is very handy - you just need to click on it. If yo wish you can share your photo on some more or less well known services aswell. 

App review: My365

My365 “Every day is a precious moment.” app is only available for iphone, android is coming soon. The app is free. You can log in via your Facebook or twitter account - or with your EMail.  Make sure you read the “Terms of Service”, url, before you get ready. 

One photo for a day. Not more. You have to be picky but much more: be yourself. Share memories, things you love, a mood, places, events … whatever. It does not have to be perfect or to much serious. You should have fun. 

The Photo can be taken in the moment, or you can choose is from your library. You cannot choose a day in the future, but - if you like, you can chose it for a day before the actually day (oh my … i am sorry for the bad english sentence XD dunno how to say XD). 

Right now, the majority of users seems to be from asia. Even if you do not can write japanese, korean or chinese … ppl will let you know, if they like your pictures. And much more, images can be read and understand by everybody ;) - so please do not worry. Take the adventure and explore this wonderful community.

There is another difference beside Instagram: If you choose under the menu > Interesting you can find the following: Popular entries, likes (which images are beloved from your contacts), new (current new uploads by everybody!) and nearby users. 

> The Camera: There are a lot of filters present in the app editing section, and even more can be unlocked if you achieve certain milestones (if you clicking on them, you get info how to get them: such as liking six photos or getting followers).  You can give the photo a title. There are no hashtags.

App review: Instagram (GER/EN)

Hi! 

Spätestens seid Facebook sich Instagram unter den Nagel gerissen hat, ist diese App allen geläufig. Seit kurzem gibt es die kostenlose App auch für Android-Nutzer. Der Kauf von FB hat für einige Aufregung gesorgt, positiv wie negativ - wer hier neugierig ist, einfach mal Google befragen und wer es also genau wissen möchte was passiert, wenn man Fotos aus Instagram in Instagram posted, sollte einen Blick in die “Terms of use” werfen, url. 

(Ob ihr euer Konto dann mit FB verbindet wollt, solltet ihr euch aber vielleicht zweimal überlegen, denn da gelten schon wieder ganz andere Reglen).

Instagram kommt in einem ziemlich simplen Design daher. Ohne viel Schnickschnack oder extra Funktionen wie andere Apps dieser Art. 

EN: Instagram has a very simple design with no extra functions. Before you start, you should read the “Terms of use” and make sure you understand them. Even if Instragram is part of Facebook right now, it has own TOU and if you connect, you should keep it in mind, that on Facebook the rules are different about copyright and co. 

Das Menü teilt sich in 5 Punkte auf:

1. Feed > Wer hat was wann hochgeladen (nur Kontakte die man selber verfolgt). 

EN: Feed > Here you find the new postings from your friends/contacts.

2. beliebt > Welche Fotos haben in kürzester Zeit die meisten ‘likes’ bekommen. Macht euch da ja nicht verrückt, solltet ihr es nie schaffen dort raufzukommen ;). Das sagt noch lange nichts darüber aus, ob eure Bilder gut oder schlecht sind. 

EN: Popular > Here you find the photos which got in a short time of period the most ‘likes’ from other users. Don’t worry, if you never hit this page. It does not really give a feedback if your photos are good or bad. IMO. 

3. Kamera > 18 Filter/Rahmen/Blur Optionen. Nachdem ihr den gewünschten Filter/Rahmen etc ausgesucht habt, solltet ihr auf jeden Fall bei der “Bildunterschrift” diverse und zutreffende HASHTAGS eingeben.

Was seht ihr auf dem Foto? Beispielsweise es handelt um ein Blumenfoto, dann schreibt ihr z.B. > #flower #garden #green #nature etc … #WORT (bestmöglich auf englisch!) - das war’s auch schon. Wer es mag, schaltet die Geotags ein, darüber kann man die anderen wissen lassen, wo genau das Bild aufgenommen wurde. 

Unter Mitteilen, könnt ihr euer Instagram-Konto mit anderen Communitydiensten verknüpfen und das Foto darüber teilen.

EN: Camera > 18 Filters and frames. Blur option. After this do not forget to give your photography some HASHTAGS. Via this, your photography can be found from others. A hashtag is written like this for e.g. #word #flower #garden #nature … write it down in the picture description or in a later comment. 

Einstellungen etc > Freunde finden/einladen, Durchsuche Instagram (Benutzernamen oder nach hashtags!), Deine Fotos/Fotos die dir gefallen, Profil ändern (z.B. füge einen kleinen Info Text hinzu oder dein Blog/website), Profilbild ändern. 

Du kannst dein Foto-Stream auch auf Privat stellen. Die Bilder sind dann nicht für alle sichtbar, sondern nur für die Leute, denen du die Erlaubnis erteilst. 

EN: Preferences etc > Here you can modify your profile. Uploading a profile image. Giving permission to upload to other services like facebook and twitter and co. You can set there your stream to private - than only ppl who you have accepted can see your photo stream.

Natürlich muss man sich für diese App registrieren - ein Punkt den viele Leute kritisieren, es handelt sich ja nicht um eine normale Photo-App, sondern um um eine Plattform, wo man seine eigenen Bilder postet und der Welt zeigt. Wem es stört, seine private EMail-Adresse aus welchen Gründen auch immer für sowas zu benutzen, der sollte sich einfach für solche Apps eine Zweit-EMail- Adresse zulegen. Geht ganz einfach und schnell. 

Ich für meinen Teil, fühle mich dort gut aufgehoben. Instagram motiviert. Es macht Spass Bilder aus aller Welt sich anzuschauen. Und ganz besonders freut man sich über das Feedback einiger User, die sich wirklich Zeit nehmen die Bilder in mehr als zwei Worten zu kommentieren. 

EN: For my part, I do feel good with Instagram. There is a very mixed community: many nationalities, different skill levels of photography and retouching, a lot of inspirations. You should give it a try ^^
